AC Milan will play Juventus in the Italian Cup

AC Milan players have achieved a landslide victory over the Regina in 1/8 finals of the Italian Cup. The game, held at the San Siro ended with a score of 3:0 in favor of AC Milan. Goals of the victors were Mario Yepes, Mbaye Niang and Giampaolo Pazzini.

In the quarter-finals of the tournament where they will play AC Milan against Juventus in the previous phase, which beat Cagliari with a score 1:0. The game between the best Italian football will be held on 9 January.

Football Genius: Stephan El Shaarawy

Stephan El Shaarawy was born 27 October 1992 in Savona, Italy. He is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Serie A club AC Milan. He is a current member of the Italy U21 national team. El Shaarawy joined regional Serie A club Genoa at the age of thirteen. On 25 June 2011, El Shaarawy signed for Serie A giants AC Milan. In June 2010 he was loaned out to Padova for the 2010–11 Serie B season. In his loan period at Padova, he quickly emerged as a key element for the team, leading the Venetian club to the promotion playoff finals where they then lost to Novara.

On 21 December 2008, when he was 16 years and 55 days old, he made his first team debut, playing ten minutes in a Serie A away match against Chievo, becoming the fourth youngest player in the history of Serie A. It was his only appearance of the season despite making the bench many times.

On the 18th September 2011, Stephan made his debut with Milan at the Stadio San Paolo in a 3-1 loss to Napoli in Serie A. Three days later, after coming on as a substitute for the injured Alexandre Pato, he scored his first goal for the club, earning his team a 1:1 draw at home against Udinese.

On 25 July 2012, El Shaarawy signed a contract extension, which will keep him with the Rossoneri until 2017. Playing with the Italy U-17 team, he took part at both the 2009 UEFA U-17 Euro and the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

In his first six months at Milan, he made a total of seven appearances leading to reports in the media that he may be loaned out for more playing time to help his progression. However a decision was made between Galliani, Allegri and himself to stay at the club for the near future. It was then that his performances for Milan began to improve and have led him to becoming one of the most highly rated youngsters in Italy.

El Shaarawy provided an assist for Robinho in a 3:0 win against Cesena in the Serie A on the 23rd of January, 2012 which was his first assist in Rossoneri colours. On 8 February 2012, El Shaarawy scored in a 1-2 loss against Juventus in the first leg of the 2011-12 Italian Cup semi-finals. Three days later, he scored an immensely vital winner against Udinese. It was Udinese's first home loss of the season and turned Milan's poor form around.

On 15 August 2012, he made his debut with the senior Italian team, playing as a starter in a friendly game against England. He made his debut with the Italy U-21 team on 15 November 2011, in a qualifying match against Hungary.

Napoli will face Juventus in the final at the Stadio Olympico on May 20

Cavani should have added his second before the break when he missed the target after Brkic saved well from Gokhan Inler, and Napoli were almost made to pay when Emanuele Pesoli headed just over the bar for Siena. Edinson Cavani's first-half strike helped Napoli book their place in the final of the Coppa Italia with victory over Siena as they overcame a one-goal first-leg deficit and triumph 3-2 on aggregate. Napoli pushed forward from the start and had a fine chance in the seventh minute when Cavani was set up by Camilo Zuniga in the Siena box, but fired over from a very good position. Vergassola's moment to forget came three minutes later when he clumsily deflected a free-kick from Ezequiel Lavezzi into his own net from 10 yards. 

Napoli continued to press with Cavani bringing a fine diving save out of Zeljko Brkic in the Siena goal, then Marek Hamsik driving just over the bar from long range. Simone Vergassola's 10th-minute own goal paved the way for Napoli's comeback and when Cavani struck after 31 minutes it proved enough to send Walter Mazzarri's men to the final. 

Napoli's second came from a swift counter-attack, with Cavani bursting out of the defence and finding Hamsik, who responded with a neat cross for the Uruguayan to head into the bottom corner. Hamsik had a chance to make certain for Napoli five minutes from time when he was fed by Goran Pandev, but shot just the wrong side of the right-hand post before Brienza missed Siena's last chance from a tight angle. In a good start to the second half for the visitors, Franco Brienza and Nicola Belmonte both came close, but Napoli's best chance fell to Lavezzi who shot over the bar in the 79th minute with only the keeper to beat.

Coppa Italia: Juventus 2 - 2 AC Milan

After the first leg at San Siro was won 2-1 by Juventus back in February, the Bianconeri were holding all the cards going into this game, but it was the Rossoneri who started the brighter of the two sides. An earlier Alessandro Del Piero goal had looked like taking the Turin giant through, but that was cancelled out in the second half by goals from Djamel Mesbah and Maxi Lopez. Vucinic was there in extra time to score a sumptuous goal that gave the Old Lady a 4-3 aggregate win. An extra time goal from Mirko Vucinic was enough to take Juventus through to the Coppa Italia final, in a pulsating 2-2 draw at Juventus Arena on Tuesday. 

Milan was completely dominating possession, and perhaps should have made Antonio Conte's side pay on 20 minutes. Ibrahimovic turned past Andrea Pirlo on the edge of the Juventus area, and, opening up his body, caressed a shot at goal only to see Marco Storari push it wide of his post. Seedorf had a long-range effort that just whiskered over the bar midway through the half, but on 27 minutes, Milan was cursing its wastefulness as the home side opened the scoring. A superb run from Stephan Lichtsteiner down the right side culminated in a low cross towards Del Piero, who flicked the ball over the on-rushing Marco Amelia and coolly tapped it into the net. 

With the scoreline on the night level, the wind was really in the Rossoneri's sails, and they perhaps should have added a second goal just 15 minutes later. A deep cross from the right by Luca Antonini found Sulley Muntari at the back post, but he couldn't quite bundle the ball home after pressure from Leonardo Bonucci. Milan was still dominating the play – ending the half with just under 60 percent of the possession – but it was Juve which had the best chance just before the break. Mirko Vucinic was played through by Arturo Vidal, but delayed his cross for too long and the eventual ball to Emanuele Giaccherini was slightly too high as he headed wide. 

The wave-after-wave of Milan attacks eventually paid dividends on 81 minutes. Lopez received the ball just outside the area, turned Chiellini, and smashed it into the top right corner past Storari. Former Milan striker Marco Borriello had the best opportunity to avoid extra time just moments later. Played through by Giaccherini, the Italian striker was in one-on-one, but he could only hit his effort straight at Amelia, and with that, the teams went into extra time. Extra time began with exactly the same frenetic tempo as the game itself, and within minutes, Juventus had two great chances to score. Firstly, a cross from the left found Borriello, but he could only fire straight at the keeper. And secondly, Vucinic played Giaccherini clean through on goal, but the youngster, deciding to go round Amelia, had the ball taken from under his feet by the Italian. But midway through the first half all that was forgotten as Vucinic struck an absolutely beautiful effort from 30 yards right into the top right-hand corner of the net to give the Bianconeri a 4-3 aggregate lead going into halftime of extra time. 

The second period quickly turned into a scrappy midfield battle, with lots of late, niggling challenges. And despite a late charge from Milan, the referee blew for full time to take Juventus through to its first cup final since 2004.
